The tournament is hosted by the City of New York. The main court is the Arthur Ashe Stadium which can host a 24,000 people attendance. Both female and male tennis players are competing here on the DecoTurf surface which helps the hard hitters and the fast-play tennis. The 2008 edition of the US Open hosts five Championships: Men's and Women's Singles, Men's and Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
